501(c)(3) Nonprofit · Racehorse Transition

Every racehorse deserves a safe place to land.

Redemption Run helps racehorses transition safely and successfully into the next chapter of their lives, whatever that chapter turns out to be.

  • Rehab.
  • Retrain.
  • Rehome.
  • Retire.

Our Story

Born from the work we were already doing.

Redemption Run grew as an extension of EquiKare’s equine rehabilitation work, and from a need we keep seeing in the racing community.

Horses leaving the racetrack often need time, resources, and a safe place to land before they are ready for whatever comes next. Redemption Run exists to give them that.

Four Pathways

Every horse’s next chapter looks different.

Some horses need to heal. Some need to decompress before starting a second career. Some simply need a safe pasture. We meet each one where they are.

Heal from injury

Rehab

Horses coming off the track with injuries get the time, veterinary care, and rehabilitation they need to recover.

Prepare for a second career

Retrain

After time to decompress from the demands of racing, horses are retrained for the work that suits them next.

Find the right home

Rehome

Once they are ready, we place horses with new owners who match their temperament, soundness, and future.

Rest on a safe pasture

Retire

For older horses or those with physical limitations, the right next chapter may simply be a comfortable place to live out their lives.

“Our goal is simple: to meet each horse where they are and give them the opportunity for the future that is right for them.”

Where Support Goes

Building a sustainable future for these horses.

As a newly established 501(c)(3), Redemption Run is looking for community and industry partners. Your support covers the projects and day-to-day costs that let us safely accept and transition horses from the racing industry.

Farm & facility improvements

Fencing & turnout areas

Daily feed & care

Veterinary & farrier expenses

Rehabilitation needs

Farm & horse-care equipment

Get Involved

Many ways to be part of the mission.

Beyond traditional donations, we want partnerships that bring people out to the farm to see the impact firsthand.

01

Monetary donations

Gifts of any size go straight to feed, care, vet bills, and the farm improvements that let us take in more horses. Donations are tax-deductible.

02

In-kind donations

Materials, supplies, equipment, professional services, and other resources all help cover the cost of caring for the horses and improving the farm.

03

Company volunteer days

Bring your team out for employee outings, service projects, and hands-on farm work days, and see what your support does for the horses.

04

Industry partnerships

For companies connected to racing or the equine industry, we can be a partner and a resource: a responsible pathway for horses whose racing careers have ended or who need time away from the track.

Every fence repaired, pasture improved, bag of feed provided, piece of equipment donated, and hour volunteered helps us say yes when a horse needs somewhere to go.

Let’s Talk

Find the level of involvement that fits your organization.

We would be grateful for the chance to talk with you about becoming a partner of Redemption Run. Thank you for considering supporting our mission and the horses who have given so much throughout their racing careers.

With the support of our community and industry partners, we can make sure their next chapter is one worth looking forward to.

With gratitude,

Karrie CableRedemption Run
